Satellite Communication in India
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Space Program
ISRO has launched total 118 satellites from 1975. ISRO
has its own satellite launch vehicle system. Due to the great achievements, ISRO
has become a powerful space agency in the world. ISRO has successfully completed the Mars mission and Moon mission. Recently ISRO has launched 104 satellites with a
single launch vehicle.
The Indian National
Satellite (INSAT) system is one of the largest communication satellite program
launched by ISRO. New version of INSAT, Geo Synchronous Satellites (GSAT) are
specifically designed for telecommunication purpose.
